ELTPros

For schools and institutes

Post a job free. State what it pays.

A board built only for English teachers in the Dominican Republic, where every listing shows its salary. That one rule is why teachers read it, and it is why your ad gets answered.

Why we make you publish the salary

It looks like a cost to you and it is mostly a saving. A teacher deciding in May whether to answer three different messages will answer the specific one first, and most ads in this market are not specific, so stating the figure moves you to the front of a queue that costs nothing to join.

It also removes the interviews that were never going to work. If somebody applies knowing the number, the conversation about money at the end is a formality rather than the thing that wastes an afternoon for both of you.

You can post a range rather than an exact figure. What you cannot do is post nothing.

What you get

  • An organization profile with your logo, description and public page
  • Unlimited job posts during this phase
  • Every application in one pipeline, with the stage each candidate is at
  • Search the teacher directory, including the teachers who are not public
  • Invite a specific teacher to apply to a specific job

Free while ELTPros is being built. You will be asked before that changes, nothing converts silently, and no price is ever applied to something you already posted. The detail is on the pricing page.

Most of the hiring happens in eight weeks

Nearly all the English teaching posts in this country change hands in May and June, which means every school is looking at the same small pool of people at the same time, and the ones worth hiring are usually gone by the middle of June. A post you knew about in October and left until the year ended puts you in that queue with everybody else.

Your first job is read by a person

One review, once, before your first listing appears. After that you publish directly. It is there because a small board with no check fills up with scam listings, and a teacher who has been burned once stops opening any of them, which costs you more than the wait does.

Teachers can see whether you answer

Schools that open applications quickly can earn a mark saying so on their public page. There is no opposite mark and no public score: a school that has not earned it simply shows nothing, so this is something to win rather than something to fail.

You can approach a teacher directly

Most teachers here keep their profile visible to verified schools only, since they are employed and looking quietly. You can invite one to apply to a specific job, and the platform sends it, so you never hold their address and nobody can be mailed in bulk.

Nobody is left waiting

Rejecting a candidate is one tap and the reason is optional, but when a job closes everyone still waiting is answered automatically. That is the part of hiring that gets skipped when everyone is busy, and it is the part teachers remember about a school.

Where this is, honestly

ELTPros is new and small. It is run by one teacher in Santo Domingo, the board is in its first season, and if you register this week you will be among the first schools on it rather than one of many. We would rather say that than have you find it out after signing up.

What that is worth to you is this: posting costs nothing, the audience is only English teachers rather than everybody on a general job site, and an early listing is read by every teacher who arrives, which stops being true later.
