The rules for using ELTPros: what it is, what it is not, what is expected of teachers and employers, and what happens when someone breaks them.

These terms are between you and Gaudi Rodríguez, who builds and runs ELTPros from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Creating an account, or simply using the site, means accepting them.
They work alongside the Privacy Notice, which explains what happens to your information.
ELTPros is a place where schools, institutes and companies publish teaching vacancies and where English teachers publish profiles and apply. That is the whole of it.
ELTPros is not an employer, not a recruitment agency, and not a party to anything you agree with an employer or a candidate. We do not negotiate your salary, we do not sign your contract, and we cannot enforce one. Any offer, contract or dispute is between the two of you.
ELTPros is early. Sections are still being built, things change often, and some of what is described in the interface is a plan rather than a finished feature.
ELTPros is free for teachers, and is intended to stay that way.
Post real vacancies for a real organisation
You must be authorised to recruit for the organisation you claim. An organisation’s first vacancy is reviewed by us before it appears; after that it publishes freely, and that trust can be withdrawn.
Every vacancy states its pay
You may hide the exact figure, in which case candidates see a band — but never nothing. A vacancy without pay information will not be published.
Never charge a candidate
No fee for applying, for training, for a visa, for materials, for a “placement” — nothing. Money moves from employer to teacher, and any listing that reverses that is removed and the account closed.
Answer the people who apply
The platform will answer for you when a vacancy closes or expires, but a candidate who has been interviewed deserves a human reply.
Use what you receive only to fill that vacancy
A CV or profile you can see through ELTPros is not a mailing list, not a database to keep, and not yours to pass to another organisation.
We can unpublish a vacancy, hide a post, unverify an organisation or suspend an account when these terms are broken — and for a scam or a safety risk, without warning first. That is the only real defence a small board has against fake listings.
If you think a decision was wrong, write to hello@eltpros.com. A person reads it, and decisions do get reversed.
Your profile, your vacancies, your posts and your CV remain yours. By putting them on ELTPros you give us permission to store them and to show them to the people the platform is meant to show them to — nothing more. That permission ends when you delete the content, except where it has already been sent, as with an application.
The site itself — the name ELTPros, the design, the text, the structure — belongs to us and is not yours to copy or rebuild.
ELTPros is currently free for everyone. Paid plans for employers, and optional paid features for teachers, are planned. Nothing will ever start charging you without asking first, no price will be applied retroactively, and teachers will not be charged to apply for work.
We check what we reasonably can — a new organisation is reviewed before its first vacancy appears, reports are read, obvious scams are removed. That is care taken, not a guarantee given.
Do your own checks before you sign anything or travel anywhere for a job. If something here looks wrong, report it — that is what keeps the board worth using.
To the fullest extent Dominican law allows, we are not liable for what another user does, for a job that falls through, for a hire that does not work out, or for losses arising from the site being unavailable or from information published on it by someone else. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for anything the law does not permit us to exclude.
You can stop using ELTPros and delete your account at any time. We can close an account that breaks these terms, and we can close the service itself — in which case we will give as much notice as circumstances allow and a way to take your data with you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic, and any dispute belongs to the courts of the Distrito Nacional, Santo Domingo.
The date at the top changes whenever these terms do. A change that materially affects your rights will be announced by email and on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use ELTPros afterwards means accepting the new version.
