Requirements

• Proven experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL/EFL) or Language Arts.
• High proficiency in English (B2 or above) with strong pronunciation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with communicative language teaching methodologies and task-based learning.
• Strong classroom management, adaptability, and high energy.

About Amador English Institute

I teach English at Colegio Amador in Santo Domingo and direct my own English institute, which runs afternoon classes for students from the school and from outside it. That mix means I work across both sides of the job: classroom teaching on one hand, and levels, placement, scheduling and following students year to year on the other. I teach communicatively; my students are speaking from day one. I build lessons around mingling activities rather than seatwork, and I use technology and digital resources throughout, not as an occasional extra. I've been teaching for 10 years and hold TESOL certification from SIT Graduate Institute. I'm currently building an online Business English course for Latin American professionals, which has sharpened how I think about teaching adults working toward one concrete goal.
